Fact finding and counselling during pre-move survey are critical for a successful move. Our English speaking representatives will evaluate your packing requirements and explain our methods for protecting your belongings. He will ask about your concerns and specific needs for timing, special packing, billing, or new purchases.
Upon completion of the pre-move survey, a proposal in a timely and professional format will be prepared depending on the type of move (door-door, door-port, port-door, and port-port) you request. A detailed logistics and supply chain service proposal which includes detailed information about our services, transit time, scheduled routes, and destination customs requirements will be provided with no hidden cost.
On the scheduled day of packing, KNL packing professionals will arrive your residence prepared to pack and crate your precious belongings for safe transit around the world. During packing, materials of high quality are used, including bubble wrap, Styrofoam sheets, cushion pads, cardboard sheets, wardrobe cartons, as well as cartons of various sizes. Special crates are made for your fragile items.
KNL has 12 full time packing crews. A crew consists of five men: an English speaking supervisor and four professional packers. Our packers are full time professionals.
On some occasions, shipping schedules don’t often coincide with packing schedule. During this time, your shipment will most likely be evacuated from your residence for storage in KNL’s transit warehouse. Though usually a brief stay, we take pride in ensuring your goods are kept in a modern, clean and secure facility. Our transit warehouse has raised floors, 24 hour security, and an ISO certified pest control system. You can trust our logistics and supply chain service.
Once your shipment is ready for export, KNL proceeds with export documentation, Airline or Shipping Line booking, as well as other export customs formalities. We endeavour to avoid any export inspection or delay whatsoever. In the case where inspection is required, our export personnel and professional packers, not port labour, will be available during and after the inspection to unpack and re-pack inspected items.
For urgent items of light weight needed at your destination country, KNL will select reputable, cost effective, shorter transit times airline which we know is of priority. KNL logistics and supply chain service maintain space priority concessions with several major airlines, ensuring movement even during peak season periods.
The bulk of your belongings will be shipped by sea to your destination country. Again, only reputable, cost effective shipping Lines are selected. KNL has space priority allotments with several major Shipping Lines. Cost efficiency, safe routes and shorter transit times are our aim at KNL logistics and supply chain service.
For many reasons which are personal and some driven by regulations in your destination country, your belongings may need to be stored for an extended period of time. When this is the case, your shipment is loaded into a storage vaults and placed in a less active section of the warehouse where your effects are being protected and cared for appropriately.
Once your shipment is ready for export, KNL proceeds with export documentation, Airline or Shipping Line booking, as well as other export customs formalities. Upon arrival of your shipment at the destination country, KNL selected moving professionals will be responsible for customs clearance at the airport/port of arrival and delivery of your personal effects to your residence where the following services will be provided; offloading, unpacking, reassembly of basic furniture items and removal of debris.
All risk transit insurance is available for door to door protection. Coverage is effected when KNL commences packing up until unpacking is completed in your new home. Your insurance premium is calculated as a percentage of your declared value. An itemized inventory is required to activate transit cover.
